The 2020 show, scheduled for Sunday 9 th February, is shaping up to be the best one yet. The Prostate Cancer Foundation has been confirmed once again as our official charity sponsor.

While the cars bring an inherent glamour and prestige to the day, the general feel is laid-back. Take in the theatre of the club displays at your leisure. Find out who is crowned the best of the best. Or simply enjoy the parklike surrounds of Ellerslie Racecourse at the height of summer.
NZ’s Premier Classic Car Competition
Each year, on the second Sunday in February, the country’s most loved car clubs showcase their finest vehicles to the public and compete in the Intermarque Concours dÉlegance. These prestigious awards are a celebration of cars in both their original and restored forms.
The 2019 competition took place on a beautiful summer day in the scenic grounds of the Ellerslie Racecourse. Guests were treated to a wide variety of vehicles including Brit icons, prestigious German sports cars, classic American models and cars from New Zealand itself.
One of the most highly coveted awards is the unique team event, which sees car clubs enter teams of 2 models. The winners of this trophy take home not only prizes, but also the honour of hosting next year’s event.
Lead by head judge Stan Edwards, the judging panel crowned the following winners:
Team Event - the MG Car Club
Best Overall Car – John Hancock’s 1938 MG TA
Survivor Class – Chris Stephen’s 1962 Holden EJ Special Sedan
Highly Commended – Brent and Lisa Robinson’s 1972 Porsche 911S
