Rue d'Elegance Class online entry for the Classic Cover Ellerslie Car Show- entries must be received before 9 November 2026.

A panel of specialist Judges will subjectively evaluate the entries based on their personal reactions to the style, elegance and presence of the vehicles and let the cars “speak” to them.

As an illustration of the principles of the Elegance competition, owners of potential entries should please refer to the ICJAG (International Chief Judge Advisory Group) that advises for judging of “elegance” it is defined as;

“Purity in the design, styling and presentation; the various elements being integrated in such a way that the balance and harmony of the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts; all components are in proportion and colours are used to best advantage. Elegance is subjective and can be influenced by generational shifts which reflect the tastes and fashions of the time, but however the object retains an enduring quality which passes the test of time”.

I acknowledge that, for safety reasons, there must be no movement of vehicles within our club display area or anywhere within the show venue area between 9:30am and 4:00pm. Adhering to this requirement is a condition of receiving the club's participation payout.

Please note that Classic Driver Magazine is the official media partner for the 2027 Show. As part of this partnership, representatives from the magazine may contact you (with your consent) to photograph your vehicle and/or feature it in an article.
If you are approached by other media outlets before 30 June 2027, please do not engage with them directly. Instead, refer any such enquiries to the Organising Committee for coordination.
