Club Displays

Every year the show has a theme.  All clubs are encouraged to portray the theme with their club displays.  Some clubs choose to be judged on how well they do this. The theme for the 2026 show is Icons of the Screen
Clubs can take a movie or a TV show that stars their marque and bring it to Ellerslie!
Totally out there, but who would be brave enough to raise a General Lee over the top of their club marquee? Bring a 1940’s bank robbery to life with Bonnie & Clyde? Goodbye Porkpie in a wreckers yard, Kids clambering over Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Endless possibilities!

Club Entries

Your club display is a great way to celebrate all you admire about your marque.  Maybe its history, significant models, or simply the joy and pride of ownership.  Talk it over with your club members and see what you can come up with.  The more original the better.  And the winners get a boost to their club’s bank balance.

Even if your club opts not to enter the Display Competition, your display is an opportunity for the club to show off your marque to the public and the great fun to be had in joining a car club.  In the past some of the most interesting displays have been the 'barn find' unrestored cars.  Also those not so old cars that provoke childhood memories of 'Mum or Dad's old car'.  We really want Clubs to have fun with their displays and have fun with the Show’s theme.  Cars displayed in the Club displays do not have to be Concours standard.

Clubs can always request space for more, or less, cars.

But first, be sure to enter early to be part of the show, regardless of whether you’re competing.  Do the Stage 1 Entry this week.  You can enter competitions later on the Stage 2 form.  Enter here to reserve your space and enter the Club display competition – especially if your Club has never done so before!

We hope you’ll join in to be part of it.

Fill out the online Stage 1 form to secure a site for your club by entering in the Club Display (judged or non judged).  This should be completed as soon as possible to secure a good site and before 9 November 2025.  Space is limited and sites will be allocated by the Organising Committee with early entries being given preference
The event will be held rain or shine at the Ellerslie Racecourse, just east of the Greenlane exit of Auckland's southern motorway.  Exhibitors can arrive from 6:30am.
